Could both Christian Eriksen & Pochettino join Madrid?

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to wrap up a pre-agreement with Christian Eriksen in January, before signing Mauricio Pochettino in the summer.

It’s been a very difficult start to the season for both Eriksen and Pochettino.

Eriksen specifically has been in and out of the team after plenty of speculation on his future over the summer.

The Dane was linked heavily with a move to Real Madrid but a deal failed to materialise.

Possibly due to the uncertainty around his future, Eriksen hasn’t performed to his usual standard.

It’s also been a difficult start for Pochettino.

Spurs have started the Premier League season poorly and were knocked out the Carabao Cup by Colchester on Tuesday.

Now, both Pochettino and Eriksen could have escape routes next summer.

Mass exodus incoming for Tottenham?

According to John Cross of the Mirror, Real Madrid are looking to sign both Eriksen and Pochettino.

Starting with the former, it’s said that Los Blancos are targeting a pre-agreement with Eriksen.

It’s claimed: ‘Real Madrid are ready to wait until January, get Eriksen signed up and then get him for free next summer.’

Not only that, Real Madrid have made Pochettino their number one target to replace Zidane after a poor start to the campaign.

According to their report, Real Madrid have been ‘encouraged’ by his recent frustrations.

Cross claims: ‘Pochettino’s own frustrations are giving Real Madrid further encouragement they would be able to get their man even though he is under contract until 2023 on £8.5m-a-year.’
